Young Eagle Flights In Elliot Lake
The Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 by EAA, the Experimental Aircraft Association. Their mission is to provide a meaningful flight experience - free of charge - in a general aviation aircraft for young people primarily between the ages of 8 and 17. The program is to teach youth about aviation, parts of an airplane, what makes it fly and safety around the airplane and the airport. The Elliot Lake Airport will be offering Young Eagle Flights 11Aug07. You must fill in a registration form and have it dropped off at City Hall or the Airport. We will try to accommodate as many kids as we can, but we do have a limit, so please get your forms in early. We wish to acknowledge our sponsor without which we could not offer the flights. Those sponsors are: The City of Elliot Lake The Canadian Tire Gas Bar The New Esso Station, and No Frills We also want to thank the pilots in advance, many of which travel from airport to airport in order to serve this need.
